 Wild Scottish Smoked Salmon - Limited AvailablilityWe have sourced wild smoked salmon on request for a number of years, we have been very alert to the pressures on this fish and have not sought to publicise that we can obtain this product. Fish numbers available have declined, however we have managed to purchase a few fish, less than a hundred and offer them out at a reasonable price. When they are sold, they are sold. We have purchased mostly smaller fish caught mid to late summer (Grilse mostly) yielding smoked sides from 500 to 900gms. They are smoked in a traditional kiln over a weekend and taste just fantastic, not oily a little smokier than our farmed salmon, they just seem to be able to carry a slightly stronger smoke and still retain a wonderful texture in the mouth.

Please note we cannot accept orders for shipping direct to the USA or Canada due to FDA anti Bio Terrorism regulations; however we have partner organisations in the USA and Canada who are able to offer products that are Scottish. Also in Canada we can offer Irish Organic smoked salmon. We will offer these instead of sending direct from Scotland. Europe, ROW, Channel Islands, Eire are delivered via DHL minimum charge is £25.80(inclusive of 13% fuel surcharge for 2011 and 20% VAT), if you wish us to send outside the EU, of course there is no VAT also for up to 2.5kg gross weight. For larger weights please contact us direct so that we can advise the cost of the freight. Please Note from January 2011 VAT rates go up to 20% DHL fuel Surcharge varies each month by a 1% or so, therefore £25.80 is only a guide. |
